Gettin' Crafty.........

Yesterday I finally got around to doing a little project for Summer.  She had a nice little singlet that needed some prettying up!!.  So I got out my doilie stash and sewed on this little creation.  The headband was just a plain bit of elastic that was crying out for this beautiful flower............

' The Hair Cut' reads:  Ever since you were born, you have hated anyone touching your head.  You would cry so much you would turn blue when I tried to brush it, & it ended up so long & full of dreadlocks & cradle cap & it was so sweaty for you in this heat.  Dad had just had a shave & we asked you if you wanted your haircut.  You said a most definite 'yep' & climbed onto his lap & let Dad shave it all off.  It took a while for us to get used to you without your hair, but you loved it.  It seemed like it was a relief for you.

'The Ballard Sisters'

We recently celebrated Womens Day, at Drake, with a whole bunch of beautiful and talented ladies. Local art was on show as well as some wonderful musical performances by our talented women. My Aunties and my sister and I performed a few songs, and we had such a great time getting together and sharing our music with friends and strangers.

Finn's 2nd Birthday

Finny turned 2. We had a nice and quiet little celebration just with family. He got alot of new books and a tractor and farm set, and a nice new winter outfit with a tractor on it, of course!. He's just a little bit obsessed with tractors!. Unfortunately my camera is not working, so I missed out on the usual photos but we got a few with Summers little Camera. You might notice the finger up his nose in these pics. Seems to be his latest little fad. Everytime I turn around, there he is with finger up his nose!!.
