I am a huge believer in the power of positive thinking, you know that what you put out there you can receive. And quite often things happen to me because I have been thinking of them. I know we all experience this, and it just makes you believe that the universe is as unfolding as it should, as in 'Desiderata'. And I had another of these experiences op shopping last week. It goes like this...I had wanted to sign up for Kellys vintage sheet swap again, but hadn't found any sheets for a long time, I actually thought I had used up all my vintage sheet luck!!. And that week I stumbled across these....
Sheet swap here I come!!
Does anyone remember Jessie the Elephant?. Apparently she is a famous Australian elephant who was a gift to the NSW government from the king of Siam, and was a favourite attraction of Taronga zoo, giving thousands of rides to children for many years. This is the story of her life. I love reading elephant stories, and I would love to suggest the book 'Modoc' by Ralph Helfer for the most amazing elephant life story. It is a great read.
One of my all time favourite movies is 'The Notebook' and Summer and I hired it out last month, and had a good cry, it is such a tear jerker of a film. And then it was on T.V last week so we got to see it again, and yes, again, I cried!. I decided that I was going to read the original novel that the movie is based on and wondered why I hadn't read it yet....I walked into the op shop and there it was. Hard cover. I had never seen the book before. I was very excited.....
And Summer had seen some photos of Blythes on the web with cute little baskets as accessories and asked me where she could possibly get them. I said I didn't know but we would just keep an eye out in the op shops. And that week we found these......!!!. She was very excited...
5 little Blythe size baskets!! So the power of positive thinking, send it out to the universe you never know what may come your way..... wishing you all some op shop luck!. x
Well thanks to all the rain I actually managed to finally get some scrapping done, and once again, the object was to use up supplies so I could update my waning stash. I had been feeling uninspired with my supplies lately, so I was surprised at how well and quickly these pages came together. Don't you love it when it happens like that?...

Count your Blessings .... and when it comes to these two, believe me, I do !. Thought this one was a Mardi Winen inspired layout actually. I love it. I have been dabbling with the 8.5 x 11 " size and I am really liking it. I have decided that I don't mind switching between the two as I feel the need.
They are my world
Friends Forever (just like your mums)
SO....I reckon that justifies the purchase of a few new supplies !!. Happy Scrapping x
