Well hello there. Jeez, it seems like it's been a lifetime since I have been back to this little space of mine...I miss it, I really do. I miss documenting all the little bits and pieces of my family life, my loves and my memories. I must confess I have been a little preoccupied lately...OK, I'll admit it...I've been obsessed! (see, there I said it!) with my
i phone, instagram and facebook!. Wow...that feels really good to have that out in the open! But the thing I have missed the most since I have come into the world of high tech gadgetry, is my camera. I mean my real camera..the one that I was determined to master before I got slightly, oh Ok, extremely, sidetracked! I have regressed in the knowledge and confidence that I was gaining with my beloved Canon. But.. what is the point of getting to the end of a year and the start of a new, if not to take stock of things that you want to change, and perhaps gain, as life steadily rolls on forward? 'Exactly'..(I hear you all collectively sighing)...SO, I endeavour, once again, to get back behind the real lens, and try, try, try, to find the confidence I want to have in my photography, and the commitment to being the keeper of these memories for my children and for myself. This is my pledge for the coming year. Now, when I falter, which I do...(I know you know that..I just said it anyway!) Can you guys please give me a good ole kick up the backside, and set me back on the right course...OK? thanks.
My task for this little session, which she actually a little bit more than half heartedly (just a tad more!)participated in, while the wind was whipping her hair around her face, was to focus on her eyes. Nothing else...no composition, or metering, or anything too technical, just simple eye focus. Don't you love how you can see into someone when the
camera truly focuses into their soul? Beautiful....
