Happy 16th Che........

Party time.......

We had a great time at Ches' party.  The theme was Heroes & Villains and most people made a pretty good effort to dress up.  There were police, wonderwoman, vampires, the joker, a gorilla (!) Hugh Heffner & a Play Bunny (!).   We have to say a great big thankyou to Aunty Nita for making the effort to come all the way down for just the one night, and also to Uncle Troy & Bec for the fireworks, they were pretty spectacular, and to Uncle Baddy & family for coming down from Straddie.  We had an absolute blast, and it was well worth the effort, though I didn't think that the week before it!.

So my first born is now sweet sixteen........
We love you Che......You're a good kid!.

Finny & the chook.......

This little fella keeps me constantly entertained.  At the moment it's all about his speech.  We swear he was either Irish or Russian in a previous life!.  At least he is very animated while he is trying to communicate which helps me to figure out just what it is he's trying to tell me.  He has the most expressive little face that I can't stop kissing (got to do it while you can!).  Yesterday we went in the chook pen so he could get his daily fix of catching his favourite chook.  I swear I see this Chook roll her eyes when she sees him coming!.  He wouldn't put her down & I really wanted to go & have a shower before it got too cold, so I let him take her outside with him.  After hearing the Chook making the most awful noise like she was just going to drop dead, I demanded that he put the poor thing down, which he did, and off I went to the shower.  After about 10 mins,  I'm getting dressed and I can hear him happily chatting away (in his own language of course), and I'm thinking who is he talking to?  Then I go into a panic because I had the sudden thought that the phone might have rung while I was in the shower, and he's answered it,  and some poor person is on the other end trying to figure out who, or what, they have called!  So I'm running up to the house calling "Finny, what are you doing?".  I get inside and see that no, he's not on the phone, thank goodness, when I see his little head peering down the stairs with a most obvious look of guilt.  As I'm walking upstairs I can hear him saying no, and when I get there he's pointing to the Chook (!) and shaking his head at her and telling her No!.  He had somehow managed to wrangle that Chook inside and up 14 stairs to my bedroom, and was trying to shove her under the bed!.  There were feathers everywhere, and that poor Chook had absolutely no idea where she was,  or what she was meant to be doing!.  At least I don't have to tell him No, it's the first thing he says himself when he gets busted!.

Good Kids?

So this is what these three were up to, 5 days before xmas, while I was in a mad panic trying to get the house painted..........

At least they were having fun!
