VINTAGE SHEETS....

Thankyou very much Kel, for once again organising
the Vintage Sheet Swap.....I am very happy with my little
stash, and now I know I have more than enough fabrics to
create my quilt!  (I'm gonna get onto that.....!!)

But I picked up these few extras 'Just in case' I didn't have enough....

*Sigh*...they're just so pretty.

Chatting with Summer, while she was searching for four leaf clovers, it
is uncanny how many she finds, I am yet to find one!!
She also found a five leaf one!!

Finny had his very first drive, with Logan as his instructor....he did
very well, and was very proud of himself.

Hope you all had a great weekend also x

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY.....

Our beautiful little boy celebrated his 4th Birthday on the weekend,
and he had a wonderful time celebrating with his family.

He had the best homemade cheese burgers for lunch, complete with
pickles, ketchup and chips!.  They were quite delicious.  I also
made some spicy chicken burgers for the ladies, and that is a recipe that I
will have to share!!

He had two Pinatas, a homemade one and a bought one, and they were good
fun.  We left one just for the bigger boys to smash into!!

Silly mummy and Bec, with chocolate all over their faces, just like Finny!!.

And Grandmas cake this year was a little farm yard....very cute!

Happy 4th Birthday darling boy...we love you very much.
We are so blessed to have you in our lives x

SUNDAY DRIVE....

Hi everyone, hope you all had a lovely weekend. We have been planning on fitting in a couple of camping trips to the beach before the hibernation period begins....the winter is looming ever closer....*sigh*, but due to all the rain we have been having,  it has been impossible to plan anything. I refuse to go all the way to the coast just to be rained on!!. So our Woody Head trip was once again postponed, and Saturday was spent rearranging kids bedrooms. I can easily think of a better way to spend a Saturday, but none the less,  it was a satisfactory day and the kids were happy. But then Sunday .....Hallelujah....a break in the weather...so it was off to a 'local' pub for lunch, and then a drive down to McLeods Creek.....

At the 'Lunatic Hotel', I know, what a name.  It is not named so because it is full of lunatics, (although there is bound to be the odd one or two!), there are old mines in the area with that name, and also a street in the town.

Can you spot the 4 people in this picture????

The water was very chilly, but Logan, Finn and I just had to go for a dip.
It was just too good to refuse.

This road actually does a loop from Drake to Tenterfield, passing along the Timbarra river and other little creeks.  It takes about two hours, and is very picturesque, and will be on the agenda pretty soon, I think!.
Did anyone else go for a Sunday Drive?

CONVERSATIONS....

I am in the kitchen cooking and singing, because I am always in the kitchen, cooking and singing. Finn is sitting at the bench eating, because Finn is always eating, which is the reason why I am always in the kitchen !.  When he says " Do you want to be Justin Bieber "?.  I say " No. Why "?  He says " Why are
you singing then "?.  I look at him as I am thinking, ( what, just because I'm singing I want to be Justin Bieber now, jeesh what is it with kids these days, can't even be happily singing without being harrassed,!!)  and reply " because I love singing ".  Apparently that is a very reasonable answer that requires no more interrogation.  After a short think, he says " I want to be a Policeman ".  I say " That's a good job Finny, you can lock up all the naughty people and put them in jail " (!), he says " yeah, but I need a car ".  I reply " you get a car when you become a policeman".  He looks up at me with this look of incredulation " Really "?, he says.  It looks like he might have just figured
it all out.....!
