Long Weekend...

We had a lovely long weekend spent with the Parthenides Clan, even though we spent our weekend stuck inside due to the bad weather and our day out to bald rock had to be cancelled, it was still a very enjoyable time. Isn't it nice when things don't go to plan and you have to make the best out of what you have instead?. We had no other choice but to play games, eat great food, talk and be cosy by the fire, watch movies and just BE with each other.  And the best part was that Shane couldn't do any work....it was far too wet to do anything  so we had his whole attention, which is a real blessing.

Littlest Pet Shop....Nits and I give major praise to these things.  Never before has little plastic toys created such contented, imaginitive play.  The kids LOVE them, and they are worth their weight in gold as far as we're concerned!!.

You have been watching Logan kick the football for 3 years now, and in an instant you mastered the drop kick. You have a funny little action holding your arms straight out. The ball doesn't always go straight, but you are very proud of yourself.

Poor Summer....

Poor Summer has been home sick all week, with some kind of virus. She has just been sleeping and not eating. She is so quiet when she is sick, she hardly says a word, never complains, I'm sure she gets annoyed with me constantly asking if she's alright, and how she's feeling. I get so worried about her when she's really sick. It doesn't happen very often. She has a strong constitution like her dad, and that seems to mean when they actually do get sick, they get really sick. I have only ever seen Shane sick twice in ten years, both times with the flu, and both times he was down and out!. Summer went to bed at about 6pm last night, even after sleeping most of the day, and didn't wake the whole night. But this morning she seems alot better, thank goodness. Doing all that sleeping and laying around you should have seen the state of her hair!. She has been asking for a good cut for ages, so today with her feeling a little bit better I thought it would be a good time to have a trim.....


and she loves it....it looks and feels so much healthier. I think it definitely cheered her up a bit. (and yes that is Logan home, he missed the bus today!)
